Semana Santa Makes a Vacation to Costa Rica Unforgettable

18th Apr 2014

Costa Rica remains one of the most beautiful countries travelers can visit. All throughout the year, there are many festivities and events that liven up life here, creating memorable moments for tourists.

Among the most popular and enjoyable of all the events is Semana Santa, the Easter Holy Week. Fun and unforgettable activities take place all across the country during this week. The one locale that may be the best of all to visit is our very own National Park and beach area in Manuel Antonio.

It is not an exaggeration to say there are scores of things to do here throughout the week. No matter what your interests may be, they will be catered to in Manuel Antonio. Locals and tourists flock to the beach to enjoy the summertime weather, watching the sun rise and set on the blue waters.

Of course, watching the water is not as fun as venturing out onto it for surfing, scuba, sailing, snorkeling and other activities found in abundance.

Quite a few adventures are also found on land. One of the more interesting excursions is to visit Manuel Antonio National Park for sightseeing treks and to see the amazing wildlife that lives in the forest. Many of the mammals and birds are rare, not found easily elsewhere. Watching them in their natural habitat can be quite the experience. Those with a love for the daring might also want to try ziplining or whitewater rafting on one of our local rivers.

You’ll find fine food and drink here at Cafe Milagro during Semana Santa as well as entertaining nightlife with live music from Monday- Saturday.

A parting word of advice does have to be offered to those thinking of visiting next year. Book your accommodations long in advance because hotels do fill up quick. Really, you do not want to miss out on Semana Santa in Manuel Antonio!

Based in Costa Rica, Cafe Milagro is your direct source for premium, single origin, estate grown, micro milled coffees.
