Description

Tarrazú Reserva Especial is a coffee of unique quality and characteristics. Sourced from Costa Rica's premier coffee region, Tarrazú, this coffee is grown and micro-milled at its origin by the farmer in order to guarantee the purity of its special qualities. The plantation's elevation of approximately 6,000 feet above sea level produces SHB (Strictly Hard Bean). 

Awards: 2nd Place Grower, Cup of Excellence 2012

Tasting Notes: Rich fragrance, aroma of chocolate, sweet caramel flavor with citrus notes, mild acidity.

    The Tarrazu is exquisite. We actually got to see a little bit of roasting while we were in Quepos, Costa Rica. I order it usually twice a year. Holidays are the best times for that coffee.

    I've been ordering this bean for years now and just placed an order for more. It is very full flavored but still packs a reasonable punch with it's medium roast. Fine for the morning it will equally well stand up to the richest deserts.

    We've been to Cafe Milagro in Manuel Antonio, CR many times, but this is our first time ordering whole bean coffee from them. It was SO GOOD; dark, rich, and velvety smooth. We loved every bit of it, and cannot wait to order more after trying the other varieties we purchased.
